The Initiative Hauptstadt Berlin e.V. (IHB) is a leading civic undertaking operating all over Berlin and is comprised of dedicated citizens, companies and institutions based in Berlin that work together for the future viability of the city.

Independent and non-partisan - but not apolitical - we represent Berlin with passion and consistency. We see ourselves as a critical driving force that not only addresses, through constructive discussion, the most important matters, but initiates and supports specific projects that pertain to the future of Berlin and the capital region.

Many hundreds of members from all parts of society - active citizens and experienced entrepreneurs - are involved in the IHB and share their personal knowledge and networks, thereby demonstrating their responsibility for Berlin.

Whether old or new Berliners, the IHB provides citizens and businesses with a unique platform to converse with key decision makers from politics, economy, culture and scientific disciplines  to exchange and contribute new and fresh ideas concerning Berlin.

The IHB is a nonprofit organization and is financed solely through membership fees, donations and sponsorship by its partners.
